When my team came into the play, the website was at a primary level with minimal growth. A saas company mainly needs to 1. Create useful software, 2. Make proper pricing, and 3. Build a strong marketing and promotion.
SEOSkit was assigned to promote the website and gigs to the targeted audiences with their usefulness. The client highly expected us to optimize the website to make it more visible and user-friendly than nearby competitors.

Our client started a US-based social media service company more than a couple of years ago. The brand provides services like authentic Youtube followers, Facebook likes, Discord NFT services, X followers, etc.
Although those gigs are highly appreciated, some still consider paid followers or reach on social media to be harmful. So, the marketing and SEO of the site needed to be focused on building authenticity more than promotion for search traffic.

A Thorough Website Audit & Market Research
Whenever we acquire a new project in hand, our team performs a deep audit of the website first, including market analysis and competitor research. It helps to determine our objectives and roadmaps.
The same happened in this case. We analyzed everything and figured out the challenges to fulfill our goal.
Key Challenges
The website was made on the Webflow platform. Optimizing sites in CMS is easy. But when the website is as big as this one, SEO becomes hard and time-consuming.
Although the company was from the USA, the client didn’t target any specific country or region. The client wanted to rank on other locations too.
The brand awareness from existing content was low. So, we had to redevelop the content part from zero.
Challenges Outside SEO
To reach visitors from other countries, we needed to practice multilingual SEO and content creation. This was a new challenge for us.
The company’s employees had very little knowledge of SEO. That’s why the site was also taking time to rank. We had to collaborate with them and share our knowledge to align the work.
Most importantly, the client was unaware of the budget they needed to invest. We had to research and estimate costs to help them in this matter.
Our Customized SaaS SEO Strategy
I love to take on risky challenges. So do my teammates. That’s why we took a unique SEO approach for this SaaS startup. Here are all the details.
Quality Content Creation
Content is king. Whether it’s software service or Ecommerce SEO, you need content that offers topical coverage, authority, complete search intent, and niche expertise.
So, at first, we focused on fixing the content part. We saw the blog section had very generic articles with low-quality images. As we are also experts in marketing, we assigned our writing team to write fresh articles.
We also saw a lack of SEO metrics in the existing content. So, we did keyword clustering, mapping, restructuring, categorizing, etc. with the old posts.
Next, for the new articles, we did proper keyword research. We took both high and low-competitive keywords with a proper strategy and ratio of intents. Search volume was another metric that we followed strictly.
Because of this, we got a splendid result. More than 2k keywords are in the top 3 positions now.
Proper Link Building
Now, it was time for solid link-building. We focused on authority backlinks rather than spammy cheap links.
For many years, SEOSkit was renowned for clinical outreach operations. That also motivated us to go for programmatic SEO and create an automated backlink solution. In this project, we used our cumulative experience and reached our authority sites. We also negotiated for link insertion.
We observed from where our competitors were gaining link juice. We targeted those referral domains and reached them with better proposals. We also searched the market and found some link scope that we can reach.
Putting so much brain into link building has given us lots of credit. As you can see, the links we picked were all from trusted platforms. So the ratio of lost referral domains was near to zero.
Complete Technical SEO
After setting up the backlink department, it was time to fix technical aspects of the website. We already told you that our client’s team wasn’t completely aware of SEO metrics. So, we took the whole responsibility to reshape this SaaS platform.
Our SEO experts fixed issues with the sitemap XML, 404 errors, schema, etc. The focus was on increasing crawlability in any search engine.
Nonetheless, user experience also matters in the technical SEO. We mainly followed GTMetrix. We fixed load time and other speed issues to make every page responsive.
The content team also performed a small audit and fixed sizes of graphical content to ensure pages load in no time.
According to the GTMetrix, the site is now grade B. Compared to other SaaS sites, this situation is far better. I think the condition will rise to A if we keep working hard till the end of this year.
Huge Investment
As said earlier, the client didn’t know how much to spend or where to spend. As time passed by, we showed them how their competitors were spending and what positive results they were gaining.
The owner seemed very practical, so he agreed to invest as much as we wanted them to. Still now, money was never an issue in this project. Most of the investments are spent on link building and SEO.
Clever On-Page SEO Strategy
Stasifying Google was very important as service pages die when they aren’t visible to targeted audiences.
First of all, we decorated the landing pages properly. As we mostly used landing page links as anchors in the guest posts, we needed a sound structure for the landing or service pages.
We fixed, metadata, headings, and CTA buttons so that visitors referred to our site click and make purchases. It was all about driving the viewers from the middle of the buyers’ funnel to the bottom.
Another important thing that most SEO guys ignore is topical mapping. Mapping helped the site a lot to gain more credibility.
Url links that seemed very long were also shortened during this period. Whenever we perform On-page optimization, we always collaborate with the content team to make sure keywords and content structures are maintained properly from both ends.
Solid Internal Linking
Interneal linking is a part of on page. Still, this taks got separate attention as there here hundreds of blog posts and landing pages. So, I gave extra time in interlinking just like I did for guestposts.
Multilingual SEO
Do you want to what was the main secret behind our overwhelming success? It was multilingual or international SEO. The owner of the company is quite diplomatic. They understood that their service should get equal value in other regions as the natives would appreciate.
The service wasn’t limited to any specific country. It gave us a scope to SEO in othe r languapes. We prioritized Spanish, Portuguese, and French-speaking regions in international SEO.
If some pages dropped rank, we would audit and observe and see if we lack something compared to the competitors.
We started it in the second year of the project. We hired some translators in our team to let them write guest posts and blog articles in natural tones. I personally took the job of finding keywords of different languages for blog writing and link building.
This wasn’t directly a part of our main plan. Yet, we did it to test if it worked. Thanks to our team effort, it was successful. Our target was to gain 300k organic search traffic. But multilingual SEO gave 10x of our target.
Regular Updates
One thing I always say to my clients, SEO is a never-ending job. After implementing all the tricks, I kept pushing my team to observe every growth and fall of the website.
Our team kept sending the performance of every page separately every week. We also kept a close eye on what new domains were giving referrals to our competitors. Most importantly, we made a priority list that showed us which topic or service-related terms we needed to acquire backlinks more.
Whenever we saw a page dropping ranks, we checked the content improvement scopes. The research team followed sites that outranked on those keywords and understood whether need needed new backlinks or any other improvement.
